  1. Click ‘Order Food’ at the top of the homepage

  2. Select the student you would like to order for

  3. Select the service Lunch or Recess

  5. Select the item you would like to order

How much will parents be charged by Flexischools?
Orders are charged $0.29 surcharge. If parents use Direct Transfer to top up their account there is no fee, however if accounts are topped up by PayPal or Credit card there is a surcharge.
More information on fees and charges can be found in the terms and conditions when setting up a Flexischools account.

What time do I need to order by?
Cut off time for orders from our main menu is 9.30am. If ordering Sushi - you must place orders by Midnight the night before delivery and use the Sushi Menu (sushi menu closes at midnight).

What kind of foods do you offer?
A healthy and exciting range of Student and Faculty Menu items are available.

When is food delivered? Will hot food be hot - cold food be cold?
Food is delivered moments before first break within ‘Thermal Food Bags’. We recommend ordering hot food to be eaten at first break and if you wished to also order food for the second break, then select foods best intended to be eaten then.

Can I change something in a meal if needed?
Most of the meals are customisable - so when you order you can add and exclude ingredients to make a unique meal just for your child.

Do they cater for allergies?
Yes, please call Ella at Botany Bites to discuss your requirements.

How to cancel an order.
If cancelling prior to delivery day: Visit www.flexischools.com.au - log into your account, access your order and nominate to cancel it. This can be done up until Midnight of the day prior to delivery.
If cancelling on the day of delivery: Please call us on 02 9666 1799 by 10:30am. You must speak to us directly to ensure that the order has been cancelled and funds can be credited to your account.

What time will food be delivered?
All orders will be delivered for the first break at 11am. Please be aware of this when ordering hot or cold food for the second break at 1pm.

How does the food stay hot/cold?
The orders will be delivered in separate hot and cold ‘Thermal Food Bags’ food bags. The food items are made fresh and as close to delivery time as possible.
Hot food is kept in a warmer and then packed into Thermal bags and delivered directly to the school, to be eaten immediately at the first lunchtime break. La Perouse Public School currently has two lunch breaks.
Cold food items are kept in the fridge and delivered directly to the school, to be eaten immediately at lunchtime.

How does my child collect an order?
The orders will be delivered in insulated Coles food bags with the child’s class name, year level, child’s name and item ordered on the label.
Each class will have ‘Lunch Monitors’ who will come up to the office to pick up their class’s order basket to take back to the class and help hand out.

Why is the service only offered 3 days a week?
As we are a small school, they cannot currently provide the service 5 days a week. If we do have the interest, we can reassess if orders increase.

What food hygiene precautions are taken?
All Botany Bites staff adhere to strict hygiene and food safety guidelines. They are Certified for Food Safety and Hygiene.

Who do we contact if we have an issue with the app?
Please contact Flexischools directly - https://flexischools.zendesk.com/hc/en-au/ where you can access online help and lodge questions via Customer Service Forms or contact them on 1300 361 769.

Who do we contact if we have an issue with the order received/missing?
If a child is missing an item, they should advise their teacher first - as the item may have been incorrectly placed in a different class bag.
If anything is missing or incorrect - the school will contact Botany Bites directly.

Parents can also contact Ella on 9666 1799 or ella@botanybites.com.au to let her know of any issues. She will follow up and arrange a credit with Flexischools if required.

With thanks,
La Perouse P&C
